T.U.D. has oversight of all sewer line not on County Propoerty.

Gate valves need to cleaned beneath them for 18 inches. Looked into conduit fill for the first two block lifts. Many 8 inch blocks have 2 conduits with an extra for spacing of the conduits within the block. I spoke with Tim and Charlie with Howe elec. and the explaned that the third spacer conduit will be pulled out to allow proper grout fill in the cell. Looked at conduit trench for light-poles begining at the south east hydrant and running to approx the middle of the pad on the south edge. see pic. I told Del with Harris to clean D wall top of footing where the stem attaches before setting second, close in form.

There was some steel to dirt and debris on the west wall that I asked to be taken care of. A worker worked on it right away. I noticed a lack of steel in the lower portion of the stem walls which was between 6 and up to 10 feet deep. The only steel installed was per the detail for stepped footings which occured in the top 18 inches with Z bars running below those through the steps. As per Chaston, the engineer of record (Danielle) has seen the forms and steel and the lack of keyway at the bottom of the footing, and is ok with the as built forms. Chaston told me he will get me paperwork addressing the issues. These same stemwalls are not dug into a keyway against soil. They are sitting on top of oversized stepped footings. Per Chaston, this too will be addressed by engineer of record in letter. The lower A and C quads were poured today, along with Footings behind J wall. Russ told me he spoke with his supervisor and engineer from Lionokis about issue and was given the ok for condition of footing and concrete.

 10/26/2018SEWER CONNECTIONRick BarrieauAPPROVEDc/n 14, see cn #25,11/29(10/26/2018 1:29 PM RB) c/n #14 Walked with Les Dean for sewer inspection. 1) Manholes C and D, located at each corner of the southern end of the building, have sewer lines entering and leaving the manholes at a lower elevation then the bottom of the manhole creating a damn effect. Per Les, this could cause multiple maintenance issues.Please fix this problem. 2) An air test has not been conducted for the private sewer line between the manhole at the south west corner of the property to the floor drain in west J line wall. A running water test to be done with Les Dean present. SEE c/n on 11/29, c/n #25.

This condition needs to addressed by engineer of record via RFI. This is based on conversation w/ engineer. 2) Per engineer, many bolt holes in the ledger along j line that have been enlarged gretaer than the size allowed in table 18 of S-551 for 3/4 inch bolts, need to have a plate washer ( 2 inch) and welded to the web. There are further horizontal cracks seen through the walls at 4 ft from the top of the parapet in the low roof area where Ledger channels connect on the back-side of block.
